Problems with AOL?

Nearly all of our visitors who are using AOL (with Windows) to access the internet are experiencing difficulties in seeing recently posted galleries. This is due to how AOL servers keep temporary copies (cache) of internet sites and is not a problem with our site.

AOL claims to update it’s cached content every 24 hours. So, if you still cannot see the galleries you are looking for after 24 hours, and we have notified you that they are availabe, we have some suggestions for you to try:

1) Follow these instructions (from AOL tech support) on how to clear the local cache:

  • With the AOL browser closed, click on Start > Programs from the Windows task bar.
  • Look for AOL, then AOL system information.
  • Click on Utilities.
  • You will see the current local cache size there and have an option to clear the browser cache. Click on whatever you need to in order to clear the cache.
  • After clearing this cache, open the AOL browser and visit www.snphoto.co.uk again!
  • 2) Bypass the AOL browser:
    Log into AOL, then minimize the AOL browser and open up a different browser from your desktop, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape to visit www.snphoto.co.uk
